We’ve written before about just how lucky we are to live so close to Lake Macquarie and to have so many wonderful boating and fishing customers who reside in Lake Mac and its surrounds.
Today we thought we’d share some information and details on Lake Macquarie boat ramp and jetty facilities so that you can get out there and experience it for yourself!
SPOTLIGHT: BOATING LAKE MACQUARIE
Great location between Sydney and Newcastle, handy to us located here at Port Stephens.
Over 170km of shoreline, and 8km at the widest section of the Lake
The average depth is between three to eight metres (varies for Swansea Channel and some of the bays found throughout the Lake).
Arcadia Vale Public Jetty and Baths
Alexander Parade, Arcadia Vale
This is a timber jetty and buoyed area, with no protective netting or barriers. Toilet facilities are available.
Balcolyn Boat Ramp
Hall Reserve, 55 Balcolyn Street, Balcolyn
This reserve has a concrete ramp that is in good condition. Fish cleaning table and toilet facilities are available but access and parking is a gravel surface.
Balcolyn Boat Ramp (Shingle Splitters Point)
Queen Street, Balcolyn
There is a concrete ramp with gravel access and limited parking. The water is shallow with a navigable channel. Toilets are a 60m walk away in the park area.
Balmoral Boat Ramp and Jetty
Balmoral Place Reserve, Balmoral
This is a ramp with a timber jetty parallel to assist with safety of users.
Parking is limited and is either on the gravel or the grass. Public toilets facilities are approximately 100m away in a nearby park.
Belmont Baths
Brooks Parade, Belmont
This is a fully enclosed swimming area, with a jetty and an attached accessible ramp with amenities.
Belmont Public Jetty
Corner Macquarie Street and Brooks Parade, Belmont
Timber jetty with ferry boat access and pump out facility available. There is also a water supply. Toilets are 100m along the foreshore.
Belmont South Boat Ramp
Paley Crescent, Belmont South
A 6m wide ramp with a sealed car park nearby. The water is shallow but has a navigable channel. A fish cleaning table is available and toilets are 50m away in the park.
Bennett Park Boat Ramp
Dilkera Avenue, Valentine
The 8m wide concrete ramp with a sealed parking area. Toilets are within 40m. Slop hopper available for portaloo waste disposal. Foreshore park is suitable for picnics, walking and bicycle riding.
Blacksmiths Boat Ramp and jetty
Ungala Road, Blacksmiths
The wide concrete ramp runs into an internal beach protected from wave surges. Pontoon jetty at ramp. Parking areas are sealed, and there is a fishing table and lighting.
Bolton Point Boat Ramp
Middle Point Road, Bolton Point
There is a 6m wide ramp with a sealed parking area. Toilets are 100m away.

End of Middle Point Road, Bolton Point
Old style construction timber jetty. Toilets 50 metres away in the park.
Bonnells Bay Boat Ramp
Pendlebury Park, Grand Parade, Bonnells Bay
The ramp is concrete with sealed access and parking. Facilities available are a fish cleaning table, toilets, water and lighting.

Green Point Reserve Jetty

Timber Jetty is suitable for medium-sized keel vessels. Toilets are available 200m away in the picnic area.

There are two concrete ramps with a sealed parking area and lighting. There is a fish cleaning table and toilets about 150m away in the park.

Toronto Boat Ramp

The water is shallow around this concrete launching ramp. A parking area is partly sealed with grass. Lighting and toilets are close by.

An 8m wide concrete launching ramp with apron walls each side. The parking area is sealed with limited space. The water is shallow. Pump out facilities are located on the public wharf adjoining.
